Moooi was established in 2001 by Marcel Wanders and Casper Vissers with the ambition of creating a different kind of design company. With a focus on originality and innovation, the company offers a distinctive collection of lighting, furniture and objects that combines functionality with creativity and curiosity. The designs are often unexpected and bring personality to the interior.

Moooi works with different materials, shapes and expressions and is not afraid to challenge the classic. The collection ranges from statement lighting to furniture and objects. The extra “o” in the name refers to something extra – in terms of beauty, originality and the unexpected.

A large part of their collections is created in collaboration with both emerging talents and internationally recognised designers. Moooi takes inspiration from the designers’ own ideas and works closely with them to develop and realise their designs. The result is a collection with many different expressions, united by a shared approach to design and quality.

Over the years, Moooi has created a number of recognisable designs, including Raimond, Random Light and Flock of Light. The lighting can become a natural focal point or add a more personal expression to a room, while the furniture and objects can be combined across the collection.
