Giopato & Coombes is an Italian design studio founded by the architect and designer duo Cristiana Giopato and Christopher Coombes. With backgrounds in industrial design and architecture, they create lighting designs that merge craftsmanship, artistic exploration and technical innovation. Their work incorporates exclusive materials such as handblown Murano glass and brass, with a deep understanding of how light can shape spaces, moods and experiences.

In their design philosophy, they strive to capture the small and significant moments of everyday life and transform them into timeless and recognizable lighting installations that invite individual interpretation – a vision they call Supernatural Daydream.

One of their most iconic collections is the Bolle series, inspired by a walk surrounded by floating soap bubbles. The design consists of a transparent, handblown glass sphere with smaller glass spheres attached, available both as a single pendant and in bigger constellations.

Since the launch of Bolle more than a decade ago, Giopato & Coombes have expanded their product portfolio with several decorative collections such as Maehwa, Bruma and Scarabei – all presented at annual exhibitions with light installations in their galleries in both Milan and Paris.
