Sammode luminaires for Original Coffee’s historic Østerbro location

In one of the two symmetrical, former gatehouses at Østerfælled Barracks, Original Coffee has opened another of their iconic coffee bars – this time in just 40 m² of charming, historic space.

For the lighting, we have supplied two industrial Brueghel pendants in aluminium and stainless steel from the French manufacturer Sammode, installed above the counter. The luminaires’ design language harmonizes naturally with the Scandinavian aesthetic, where both raw and warm surfaces in steel and wood emphasize the timeless, industrial character.

Brueghel’s integrated aluminium louvres effectively shield the light source in all directions, providing comfortable, functional illumination without glare.
