Articolo was founded in Melbourne in 2015 by designer and creative director Nicci Kavals, with the ambition to create lighting and sculptural furniture of the highest quality, uniting technical precision with refined aesthetics.

Articolo celebrates the craftsmanship behind each design and every product bears the mark of being individually crafted rather than mass produced, making each piece one of a kind. Every object is the result of many skilled hands – from the renowned glassblowers of Murano to Australian metalworkers.

With an earlier career as a chef, food stylist and editor at Vogue Entertaining & Travel in Melbourne, Nicci Kavals has developed a keen sense of craftsmanship and aesthetics that forms the foundation of her design practice.

Articolo has showrooms in both Melbourne, Australia and New York City, which has helped establish the brand’s international recognition for designs that combine a timeless yet modern aesthetic with a refined selection of materials.
