Lumina is an Italian design company founded by Tommaso Cimini in 1980 in Sedriano, near Milan. The story began in the 1970s when Cimini worked based on the idea of creating “Lots of light, not much lamp.” The focus was on designing simple, technological lamps with materials of uncompromising quality. The minimalist expression has since become iconic, and Lumina has succeeded in creating several classics, including Daphine – a design that has become a timeless icon of Italian design.
